Our handsome Rowdy is appropriately named. He's an active youngster, and plays hard - an attribute not always enjoyed by our other older, more mature cats.

Rowdy's mother is GC Woodpile Sophisticat, OD (Sophie).  We leased Sophie to our friend Liz Hansen of Chemicoons for a litter, with a kitten back.   We were absolutely thrilled when Rowdy arrived, purring like crazy, after his long trip.

Rowdy is a large (about 19 lbs) brown classic tabby.  He has fabulous huge ears with a great set, an excellent chin, nice full muzzle, long long long tail, and a very loving purrsonality.  He's an in-your-face kind of cat.  We think maybe he's part dog!   His body goes on forever.

During his kitten show career Rowdy did very well.  At our NW Regional show he was awarded 3 Best Kitten awards, along with several other finals.  Two weeks later he received four more Best Kittens, followed a week later by a couple of very nice finals at the Annual!  With his final kitten show now past, Rowdy accumulated no less than 16 Best kitten awards.  Way to go Rowdy!

This winter our sweet boy left for Tennessee and his new friends at Calicoon Maine Coons.  We will miss him dearly, but know he will be  in good hands.  Plus, we had two of his litters here at Woodpile!
